Our Story

I created this presentation on my plane house to help inspire you to turn your dreams into a reality.
I hope it's entertaining and fun.

Attention ladies and gentlemen. This is your captain speaking. Fasten your seat belts as we prepare your dreams to take off. Hi, I'm Joe your Captain for today's dream flight. I created this presentation on my plane house to encourage you and your dreams to take off. I hope it's entertaining, fun and encouraging.

So, what is the definition of a dream. It's something that we aspire to. It's an ideal. It's not the nightmare that we had last night.

And so, what does it cost to dream. It's absolutely free. And you can have as many dreams as you want. That's how it started for me.

At the age of 13, I watched a show on TV called the magician with Bill Bixby. In this show, he would use his magical skills to solve the crime. Then at the end of the show, he would drive his Corvette into the back of his airplane that he used as a private residence and fly to the next city and help the police solve the next difficult crime. He later became the incredible hulk and other shows like my Favorite Martian and The Courtship of Eddie's father. I liked magic, corvettes, and airplanes and said someday I am going to do that. I didn't know how or when but I could feel the why.

I asked my dad to teach me how to fly. So he said, Okay, let's build an airplane. So we worked on one, and we called it the skycycle. I'm excited I got these slides from years ago of me at the age of 14. I just got out of the pool and he said, let's take some pictures to work out the measurements. It never got off the ground but was fun to build.

I got a job working at the flea market working weekends. I was able to pay for my medical certificate. I started flying right away.

Here is my first page in my logbook from 1977. You only need 40 hours to get a license but I had almost 100 hours as I had to turn old enough.

Got my Private Pilots License at 18.

A few years later, I got my instrument rating at 26 years old. Now I can fly from point A to point B without seeing the ground.

At the age of 44. I resurrected the skycycle. And I started riding it as a prone bike, I rode it for 1000's of miles on charity rides. I also built the wings, but it never got off the ground because now the engine is too heavy.

On April Fool's Day of 2011 I got divorced after 23 years and started my new life. I call it Project Freedom. In order to make that happen I needed to buy a piece of property. I found one at an airport called Sport Flyers. This is an aviation community where people live on each side of the runway. Kind of like a golf course community they live on each side of the golf course. and putt putt on the golf course. Here we putt putt through the air. I purchased two acres at the top right hand corner.

Next I needed an airplane. What better place to buy an airplane than at the mall that's where you buy your socks and shoes. The plane was in Sawgrass Mills mall in Florida, in a section called Wannado city for kids. This particular airplane had a cockpit completely renovated like a brand new cockpit from 1979. It took almost a year to get it out of the mall.

Because it took a long time to get Spirit out of the mall, I purchased another airplane in the meantime. I brought this one from Arkansas. This is the one I'm living in right now.

Throughout the year's many articles have been  published across the world. Newspapers, Magazines, and TV. They take 8 hours of interviewing. Resulting in a video 2 minutes.

So how do you get started with your Dream? Grab a sheet of paper. Write down your Dream and give it a name. Next, put today's date and sign it. Once you put a date to your dream it becomes a goal.

Now you can take action every day to get you one step closer to your dream. Make one of your goals to stop by and tell me about your Dream.

Airbnb in 2016 started experiences program so that when travelers got where their going to stay they would have something to do. In December 2018 I created a 1 hour tour of my plane home. I had many bookings.

In January 2019 I opened Axline Advertising Agency creating Facebook ads for local businesses to get more clients.

Then in July of 2019 6 months after starting I received a 4 Star review bringing my reviews stars to 4.92 resulting in no new booking for 90 days as most of the other Airbnb experiences had 5 stars at the time. It really discouraged me as I have put my life into this dream and was simply sharing a unique home with people.

This bad experience made me wonder what business owners do when they get a bad review. Thats when the idea came me to start the Give Me A Thumbs Up brand in October of 2019 getting my first client in December 2019.

Using Give Me A Thumbs Up you can watch your business take off.
